Board Briefings
What your board needs to know
Boards are increasingly accountable for how their organisation handles complaints and looks after its people. A tailored briefing gives directors a clear, practical understanding of the risks, their obligations, and the questions to ask management. Each briefing is tailored to your organisation and can cover the current regulatory landscape, what good complaints management looks like, early warning signs of cultural and psychosocial risk, and the questions directors should be asking.
Why now, and how it works
Complaints about health practitioners rose 19% last year. Aged care providers have new complaints and whistleblower obligations, and NSW employers must now meet the standard set by the Code of Practice for managing psychosocial hazards. Boards need assurance that the right systems are in place, and working.
A briefing is a 60 to 90 minute session for your board or committee, in person or online, with a short summary of key points and questions to take away. I bring 30 years across clinical practice, medico-legal defence and health practitioner regulation to help boards see the issues clearly. Let's talk.
